it was never just marketing

The Two Things I’ve Built My Career Around

The 95/5 Rule: Only around 5% of your potential buyers are actively in-market at any given time, while the other 95% aren’t ready to buy yet. Marketing should therefore build memory so that when people do enter the market, your brand is the first one they think of.

Throughout my career, the work has changed. The underlying thinking hasn’t.

01 — Content Strategy

What should we make people remember?

Whether I'm working on a product launch, CEO's LinkedIn, podcast, newsletter, influencer campaign, product page or event, I usually start by asking:

What is the story?

  • What matters to the audience?
  • What is worth remembering?
  • What emotion / value should it create?
  • What is the simplest, strongest way to communicate it?

That leads to decisions around storyline, messaging, hooks, consumer psychology, brand voice, visual language and format.

02 — Channel Strategy

How do we make that story travel?

I don't treat channels as separate content buckets. I look at how each one contributes to the same objective:

Where is the audience?

  • What role should each channel play?
  • What needs to be adapted vs. kept consistent?
  • How should one piece of work feed another?
  • Where are we creating reach, consideration, action or reinforcement?

That leads to decisions across distribution, social, paid, influencers, email, website, events, PR and offline touchpoints.

How it all started!

Instagram post featuring Presa Footwear slides

At 19, I founded Presa Footwear and, in the process, learned the fundamentals of building a brand from the ground up.

I had to figure out everything myself: product positioning, content, influencers, customer acquisition, sales and growth.

Creative thinking was always my instinct. When something needed solving, I naturally looked for a different way to design it, present it, photograph it or communicate it.

Gradually understood

  • 01Full funnel: awareness, interest, conversion and loyalty.
  • 02Building relevance and consistency while staying customer-focused at scale.
  • 03Working across sales, product, agency partners and leadership without losing sight of the larger objective.
  • 04Taking a brief from concept to live campaign, coordinating teams, managing timelines and adapting mid-flight.
